Healthy life for healthy community
Nepal, it goes many to the imagination. So I hit some twenty years ago under the spell of this fascinating country. First as hiker-tractor in the beautiful Himalayan massif. Then I went the for peak climbing. I have climbed different 6000-7000 m peaks. But then I come in contact with the locals and I see the major needs and sometimes harrowing situations out there. Especially the medical facilities are very low. In the big cities like Kathmandu and Pokhara there is a moderate health care. But the big problem presents itself in the remote villages far away in the mountains. Read more
I was born at the beautiful and pleasant village of Talakhraka, Sotang – 6 Solukhumbu district, eastern region and remote area of the Nepal Himalaya. I grew up with father and two brothers and four sisters. With my family has a farm and I helped my family. I was born as sixth and youngest child of late Mr. Nima Dorjee Sherpa and late Mrs. Nima Dikki Sherpa.
Moving on to my education, I attend my primary education in my own village. When I was 7 years old, my mother departed from this world forever, after I grew up with my sister. Read more
The plan was made before three years ago but the lack of manpower, fund and proper guideline became obstacle for our dream. In early 2012, I and Mr. Karma prepared a proposal for the healthcare center and we collect more hope and support when Karma presented it in Belgium with our back bone Mr. Pol Goven. It was really hard to take up this project to the present stage but our constant dedication and support from international community lead us to make this organization alive. Read more
